ASUU strike was on for almost 5 months and the management of FUO could not do this renovation, only for we to resume school by February and renovation started.
At first we thought the current library building was being upgraded to an upstair but to our uttermost disappointment, it was just a renovation of the roof from wood to metal.
FUO students are almost concluding a semester without a library and exam is starting 3rd of June, 2019.
The most annoying part is that this portion bearing the metal part of the renovation is not up to 1/3 of the entire building yet it took them 1 full semester to get this far.
One will begin to imagine how much longer it would take for us to get our library back in use because even the quality of “engineers” working on the project is another baffling issue to note.
Now there’s an uncompleted building bearing the post “university library” somewhere inside the school that is bigger and better than this hall but for years now, the management has refused to do something about that building for reasons best known to them.
We are only hoping that the new SUG executives once inaugurated into office will be able to orchestrate the troubles fuotuoke students are facing and bring about the needed change to the school.
